Finance Minister B. Javkhlan met with Ms. Teresa Kho, Director General of the East Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank, along with Sadfar Parfez, Advisor to the Office of the Director General of the East Asia Department, Pavit Ramachandran, the Country Director of the Asian Development Bank in Mongolia, and other ADB representatives. During the meeting, projects and programs implemented with ADB resources, the Financial Framework Agreement and the state of our country's economy was discussed.
The Government of Mongolia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have mutually agreed to cooperate in education, finance, customs, environment, roads, and energy sectors within the framework of the Financing Framework Agreement of 2022-2023. The projects to be implemented in 2022 and 2023 with ADB resources will be aligned with the New Recovery Policy and will be used to develop the border ports and energy sectors.
Towards the end of the meeting, Minister of Finance B.Javhlan gave information about Mongolia's economic situation in 2022 and budget projections for the next year, and presented the policy decision of the Government of Mongolia to overcome the economic and financial conditions that the world is currently facing.
