The Government of Mongolia and the Government of Japan have signed a memorandum and a grant agreement on the “The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship”

Deputy Minister of Finance S. Mungunchimeg represented the Government of Mongolia in the exchange of notes and grant agreements for the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship, which will provide non-refundable aid by the Government of Japan to be implemented in 2023 and 2024. Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Akimoto Masatoshi, and the Head of JICA's Representative Office in Mongolia, Tanaka Shinichi, also participated in the signing. The program has provided scholarship opportunities for over 415 Mongolian youth to pursue graduate and doctoral studies at leading universities in Japan since 2001 and has been allocated a budget of JPY 266 million by the Government of Japan this year.
