THE CONFERENCE FOR PUBLIC SECTOR AUDITORS HAS BEEN HELD

"THE CONFERENCE FOR PUBLIC SECTOR AUDITORS-2020" was held. With the collaboration of the World Bank’s Fiscal and Financial Stability Strengthening project, the Financial Control and Risk Management Department of the Ministry of Finance successfully held a conference on October 30, 2022, to promote the value and improve professional knowledge and skill of public sector auditors.

The workshop was initiated by the Financial Control and Risk Management Department of the Ministry of Finance in order to promote the value of national auditors in the public sector and improve the knowledge and professional skills of internal auditors in the public sector was successfully organized on October 30, 2020 in cooperation with the strengthening fiscal and financial stability project of World bank.

A total of 450 participants, division heads and specialists of national auditors, financial control and inspection units of 88 local organizations, ministries, agencies and local administrations, whose managements are appointed by the Parliament, participated in the joint consultation, of which 190 participated remotely. In accordance with the Covid-19 infection prevention and control regime, the consultation was delivered directly through the electronic system in order to make it accessible to all internal auditors and state inspectors of financial control and inspection in the public sector.  

In order to develop the national audit, quality assessment and risk management activities of the public sector, the conference delivered information on how to use the newly approved national audit methodology and quality assessment of the public sector in their activities, as well as the experience of risk management implemented by the Ministry of Finance, and the International Institute of Internal Audit (IIA Global), which is an international professional organization was presented timely recommendations, and the conference was packed with the latest news and information.  

In the meeting, P. Gantuul, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Auditors of Mongolia, spoke on the topic "Internal Auditor's Competency Framework", Dr. B. Batbayar, Director of Internal Audit of the Mongolian Millennium Challenge Fund, on the topic "Managing the Internal Audit Unit", and J. Jargalsuren, a project consultant, on the topic "Risk Management based internal audit planning" and the judge of the Capital Administrative Court of First Instance D. Haliunaa gave an interesting presentation on the topic "Administrative decision-making and administrative act resolution".

In addition, in order to improve the knowledge and professional skills of internal auditors of the public sector, and to provide them with international internal audit trends, the latest news and information, the first issue of the magazine "NATIONAL AUDITOR OF THE PUBLIC SECTOR" was published for this consultation presented to the inspectors.
