With the support of the European Union and the World Bank, the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia has started the "Budget your future" campaign in cooperation with Unread media. As part of the campaign, an essay contest for high school students on the topic "If I were the Minister of Finance..."; and "Budget your future" academic conference for university students and researchers were organized successfully.
The campaign next activity, “MOF” mentorship program launched on June 10. The goal of mentorship program is aimed to provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia and gain knowledge and information about the budget and finances for young professionals. 16 mentees were selected for this four-week program.
The first orientation course was held by B. Ganzorig, head of the Development Financing and Investment Department, consultant B. Anar, who introduced the structure, organization, strategic goals of the Ministry of Finance and the activities of the Development Financing Department in detail and held a discussion with the mentees on the topic.
First day of mentorship program
S.Mungunchimeg, Deputy Minister of MOF, opened the mentorship program and wished them success in this one-month trip and exchanged opinions with mentees.
The mentors of the program are accomplished 9 experts and professional workers from Financial and fiscal research department, Fiscal Policy and Planning Department, Treasury Department and Development Financing and Investment Department.
